Description

Fattoria Pomona is an organic farm in Castellina, in the Chianti Classico appellation. The property covers an area of approximately 6 hectares of organic cultivated vines. The vineyards are planted mainly with Sangiovese and Trebbiano.

The annual production is 25.000 bottles of organic wine. The Chianti Classico wines are made by the typical Tuscan grapes Sangiovese.

Characteristics
The wine Chianti Classico DOCG is ruby red. In the nose a smell of violets, red cherry aromas, earth and cloves. While tasting, the wine is harmonious and smooth. Prune, cherries and no astringent tannins. A discreet acidity and a long finish.

Description

100% biological cultivated Sangiovese grapes.

Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration on the skins for 18-24 days at 25°C. Malolactic fermentation in steel. Aging in Slavonian 7-20 hl oak barrels for 8 months, then 3 months in bottle.

How to keep
