Fattoria Pomona Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG

Recommended by the Dutch wine critic and journalist De Grote Hamersma.

Deep ruby red. In the nose cherries and earthy notes.

On the palate silky tannins, cherries, leather, earth and oak. A long finish.

The Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG wine is produced organically from a single vineyard with the poorest soils. The wine is made from the best Sangiovese grapes. The property Pomona covers an area of approximately 6 hectares of organic cultivated vines at an altitude of 350 meters.

The vineyards are planted mainly with Sangiovese and Trebbiano. The annual production is 25.000 bottles of organic wine.

The wine Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG is deep ruby red. With aging tending garnet. Pleasant nose with cherries, leather, oak and mushroom. Full bodied with soft tannins, tobacco and well structured. Persistent finish. An elegant wine to drink now or age.
