Description
Toffoli is a family winery in Refrontolo. Refrontolo is a village in the hills north of Treviso, the heart of the production area Conegliano Valdobbiadene. Since 2019 the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene hills are UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Maria Rosé Brut is made from black grape varieties, such as Marzemino, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are selectively hand picked. At the winery the grapes will be pressed directly for fermentation in stainless steel.
The first alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for precise control and temperature. Yeast and sugar will be added. The second fermentation takes place in a sealed tank and the wine gets to work to make its bubbles! This production method is called the Charmat or the Martinotti method.
The Maria Rosé Brut has a fine and elegant perlage with aroma’s and flavours of flowers, red fruit en forest fruits. The acidity in the wine provides balance and freshness. The wine is full bodied with a fruity aftertaste.
A wine to drink every day!
The Rosé Brut compliment appetizers, fish entrees and chicken dishes. The perfect wine and food pairing is a fish salad “insalata di mare”.
