Sommelier
FISAR sommelier
I am a certified FISAR sommelier. FISAR stands for Federazione Italiana Sommelier Albergatori e Ristoratori. The association organizes wine courses throughout Italy.
The FISAR-diploma is officially recognized.
My favourite wine?
I love red wines.
I really enjoy Brunello di Montalcino DOCG when I am more into tannins.
But light bodied and versatile wines such as Grignolino d’Asti DOC and Quintessenz Kalterersee Classico Superiore DOC from Kellerei Kaltern are one of my favorites. The wines are pleasantly soft, fruity and elegant.
On the other hand, single variety Syrah wines from France and Italy are wine styles that I like as well. The richness of dark fruits, spicy notes and bold flavors are characteristics that I prefer in a wine when eating elaborated meat dishes.
In whites I would choose Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.
Wine and Food pairing
The best match for a good wine is probably good company. I am of those who think that there is a wine for every occasion.
Next study
I am determined to continue studying because the world of wine is rapidly developing and in constant change.
WSET
I have successfully completed my level 2 and level 3 WSET study. Both certificates with distinction.
The Wine Spirit & Education Trust arranges wine courses and exams. WSET is a worldwide recognized certification.
In January 2022 I started the WSET level 4 diploma in wines course. WSET 4 is a big step in my wine journey. It is an expert-level qualification covering all aspects of wine!
