FISAR sommelier

I am a certified FISAR sommelier. FISAR stands for Federazione Italiana Sommelier Albergatori e Ristoratori. The association organizes wine courses throughout Italy.

The FISAR-diploma is officially recognized.

My favourite wine?

In red wines I really enjoy Tuscan wines, such as Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG.

In whites I would choose Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG and Campinovi Bianco Toscana IGT 2017 Dievole.

Wine and Food pairing

The best match for a good wine is probably good company. I am of those who think that there is a wine for every occasion.

Next study

I am determined to continue studying because the world of wine is rapidly developing and in constant change.

WSET

I have successfully completed my level 2 WSET study. The Wine Spirit & Education Trust arranges wine courses and exams. WSET is a worldwide recognized certification. In 2020 I started with my WSET level 3 study. Our teacher is Emily O’Hare. Sommelier, wine writer and Italian wine ambassador.

Conclusion

Many years of studying and several wine experiences in Italy and abroad have prepared me well to become an expert on (Italian) wines.

Personality and passion for wine are important qualities of a professional sommelier. I would be happy to guide you through the different wines and advice you on the perfect food pairing.

As a sommelier I also see it as my job to create a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. I want everybody to have the best experience in Italy ever!
